4 Delicious Desserts You've Never Heard Of
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, but are getting tired of the same old bowl of ice cream, we’ve got just the treat for you! These three dessert ideas are not only utterly delicious, but you most likely have never heard of them. Don’t be scared of the unfamiliar – one bite of these sweetly satisfying desserts will have you hooked!
We’ve all daydreamed about holding a coconut in hand while sipping this creamy concoction. And now your beachside dreams can come true, even in the midst of winter. This frozen cake combines the delectable goodness of coconut and pineapple while its delicate crunch makes you come back for more!
First, press a crust of crushed oat granola bars, toasted coconut, sugar and melted butter into the bottom of a 9x9-inch pan. Next, beat together cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, coconut pudding mix and whipped topping. Fold in crushed pineapple and pour the mixture over the crust. Top with more of the crust crumble, wrap and freeze 4-6 hours, or until firm. Serve with a mini umbrella for a true escape to the beach!
If you love this camping treat, but crave it even when a fire is nowhere to be seen, you’ll love this dessert. Replicate the campfire sweetness in your own home!
In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until it starts to boil. Pour over chopped chocolate and whisk until smooth. Crush graham crackers and mix with melted butter until crumbly and divide evenly among 4 mason jars. Add marshmallow fluff on top, and chocolate ganache on top of that. Lastly, put a small handful of mini marshmallows on top and use a cooking torch to brown them for a finishing touch that’ll make you feel like you’re actually sitting near a campfire!
These tasty treats are an even more delicious version of apple pie. And they’re so simple, you might not ever bake the traditional stuff again!
Unroll a package of crescent dough and use a pizza cutter to make tiny 1-inch squares. In a greased muffin tin, use the tiny squares to line the bottoms and sides of the cups. Sprinkle the dough with cinnamon and sugar. Mix together 3 ounces cream cheese 1 tablespoon sugar and one and a half tablespoons milk. Spoon a dollop of the cream cheese mixture into each lined muffin tin and a rounded spoonful of apple pie filling. Finish with a dusting of cinnamon and sugar, then bake at 375 for 16 to 20 minutes. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream!
