3 Unique Easter Recipes to Try This Year

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Easter is this Sunday! If you’re hosting this holiday, we’ve got some unique and simple Easter recipes that you can add to the table this year. We’re pretty certain these dishes will be your new springtime favorites. Let’s get hoppin’!

It just isn’t Easter without a ham! This recipe combines the sweet and tangy flavors of pineapple with cola for an incredible caramelized glaze.

Place a whole bone-in ham in a roasting pan and score in a diamond pattern. Dot the score marks with 20 whole cloves, cover loosely with foil and put in the oven, heated to 350 degrees.

Meanwhile, combine 1 can of cola, 1 cup pineapple juice, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/3 cup Dijon mustard in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until liquid is reduced in half.

After ham has been baking for 2 1/2 hours, remove the foil and glaze every 10 minutes until shiny and caramelized. Let the ham rest for 15 minutes and serve with pineapple slices.

Don’t you just love slow-cooker recipes? This simple dish can be served as a main course or a side and can be thrown together in a matter of minutes. Prepare it and let it cook while you hunt for Easter eggs!

In a slow-cooker, combine 1 1/2 pounds of boneless chicken breast, 1 cup quinoa chopped carrots and minced garlic. Pour 1 1/2 cups chicken broth over the top and season generously with salt and pepper. Cook on high for 4 hours, until chicken is falling apart. Shred chicken and add 2 cups frozen peas and a bunch of asparagus, trimmed and quartered. Cook 30 minutes more and add an additional 1/2 cup of chicken broth. Stir until creamy and serve warm.

You’ve never had creamed corn like this! With just 5 ingredients, this simple recipe will wow your Easter guests. They don’t have to know that all you did was throw everything into the slow-cooker and let the machine work its magic!

Drain 3 cans of corn and place in a slow-cooker. Stir in 1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Now, top with 1/2 cup butter, cut into slices, and an 8-ounce brick of cream cheese, cut into cubes. Cover and cook on high heat for 2-3 hours. Stir in melted butter and cream cheese and cook an additional 15 minutes. Serve immediately.
